They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral research associate to work on a Leverhulme Trust funded project under the supervision of Dr Ai-Lan Lee. The post is available from 1st October 2010 for one year in the first instance with the potential for extension for a further year. The project will focus on developing novel enantioselective Pd(II)-catalysed intermolecular couplings. The methodologies developed will be implemented in the synthesis of biologically relevant molecules. Candidates must hold a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry (or have submitted their thesis prior to appointment) and have a good publication record. Specific experience in enantioselective catalysis and method development is desirable, but not essential.
