- Cover letter (to be addressed to the President of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Prof. Dr.- Ing. Jörg Steinbach, Platz der Deutschen Einheit 1, 03046 Cottbus); please specify in your cover letter whether you wish to apply for a Ph.D./doctoral scholarship (36 months) or short-term scholarship (usually up to six months).
- Letter of motivation (to be addressed to the GradV-Awarding-Commission of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg)
- A CV (incl. list of your own publications if applicable)
- Letter of acceptance from the supervisor
- Research proposal
- Presents the research interest in a comprehensible way,
- Presents the structure of the research project and stresses the background of the issue,
- Contains a concise working plan until the completion of the doctorate/Ph.D.,
- And gives more information about the current state of research and your own preparatory works.
- Copies of transcripts and degrees (bachelor, master)
- Proof of admission to doctoral studies
- Copy of residence permit (if applicable)
- Copy of notice from the municipal family office (if applicable)
