Applications are invited for the Prime Minister’s Merit Scholarship Scheme with financial assistance from the National Defence Fund for the Academic Year 2011-12.

The scheme will be open for widows and unmarried wards of Ex-RPF personnel (upto the rank of Inspectors). However, marriage/remarriage at a subsequent date would not disqualify the Awardees.
[b] In case of under representation in Part (a), wards of serving RPF personnel pursuing technical/ professional courses, eligible for the scholarship as per Para 2.

Scholarship Description: Prime Ministers’ Scholarship Scheme was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in his address to the nation from the Red Fort on 15 th August, 2005. It was introduced to encourage higher technical and professional education, viz. Medical, Engineering, IT and other technical subjects among the wards of windows and ex-servicemen of Armed Forces from the Academic Year 2006-07
