Professional MBA Program Scholarships in Automotive Industry: Austria

The region around Vienna and Bratislava gains more and more importance in the automotive and component supply industries, because annually more than 4 million cars are producing in this region. In order to act and react to dynamically changing situations in this industry the need on well educated and qualified specialists , managers and leaders is huge.

The Vienna University of Technology and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava witn an initiative of the Automotive Cluster Vienna Region (ACVR) has set up a Professional MBA Program for the Automotive Industry aimed at educating managers for the automotive and components supply industries.  The program starts on March 6, 2009 for the first time.

This part-time Professional MBA Automotive Industry program is presented in modules and takes 4 semesters. Optimally to combine study and work, the lectures will be held in blocks every 3 to 6 weeks either in Vienna or in Bratislava.  The lectures will be given in English by internationally renowned professors and experts and will be a good combination between theory and practice. In addition, excursions, discussions, lectures and informal talks will be offered by well-known figures (guest speakers) from the industry. The final degree “Master of Business Administration – Automotive Industry (MBA)” is granted by the Vienna University of Technology in cooperation with Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The tuition fee for the entire MBA Program is EUR 20,000 (free of VAT) including course material and refreshments excluding travel expenses and cost of room & board.

In order to support the emphasis of the automotive and component supply industrie and the well qualified participants from Lower Austrian automotive and component supply industries Lower Austrian Government (Land NÖ) provides sponsorships for three places for the local companies.

From admitted applicants three receipants of the sponsorship will be selected. The winners will be  announced in the form of a cereminial act in February 2009.
