Prospective students who wish to undertake a full-time MPhil/Ph.D. program with one of the advertised projects commencing in 2017 are eligible to apply.
Current MPhil/Ph.D. students are not eligible to apply

Scholarship Description: The Professor Sir Richard Trainor Scholarship scheme has been developed in response to an anonymous donation in acknowledgment of the Principal who left the College in 2014 after ten years, and will fund up to 31 Ph.D. scholarships over a 3 year period.

The number of awards (s): For the academic year 2015-16, one scholarship each has been made available to twelve projects.

Duration of award(s): The duration of award is three years.

What does it cover? Each scholarship will be worth £15,000 per year for a 3 year period and can be used to cover tuition fees and/or living costs, plus, where relevant, any additional contribution, financial or in-kind, provided by a partner organization.

How to Apply: Applicants must complete and submit as a minimum a CV and personal statement identifying which project they would like to be considered for explaining why they would be suitable, to gsfunding-at-kcl.ac.uk 1. The subject line of the email should read RT Scholarship 1516. Two academic references must be received by the deadline for the application to be eligible. Candidates are responsible for instructing referees to submit their references using the subject line RT Scholarship 1516.
