Proposal for a thesis in biomathematics and engineering.
Description : A previous construction of a mathematical modeling has been made to describe the dynamics of T cell response to specific antigens like vaccine, considering only the time related parameter. Experimental data have been produced from a transgenic animal model and influenza antigen. Early events of the specific immunity driven by T cell have been described precisely using multiparametric flowcytometry. Numerous data have shown that classical analysis tools of flowcytometry data only consider the mean quantitative parameter of the whole population that is not appropriate for individual approach of cell in a highly heterogeneous population. A more precise population analysis could lead to individual kinetics. The aim of that study is to develop a new numerical solution to get a more appropriate data analysis using for population balance approach. The candidate will build up a numerical model composed of Ordinary Differential Equations that describe the population dynamics and propose resolution methods to compare analytical and numerical data to experimental results.
