Reproductive & Develop. Sciences:Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Neonatology, UK
Job Description: The University is seeking to appoint a Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Neonatology for 20 hours per week for a fixed term of one year, based in the Division of Reproductive and Developmental Sciences, Section of Child Life and Health and the Neonatal Unit at the Simpson Centre for Reproductive Health, NHS Lothian.
You will be an academically-minded clinician with a research track record in fetal medicine and neonatology who can take advantage of the existing research strengths in Edinburgh, in particular in clinical imaging (http://www.wtcrf.ed.ac.uk/CRIC/CRICdefault.htm, http://www.edinburghneuroscience.ed.ac.uk/.)
You will develop a research programme at the interface of fetal medicine and neonatology with a focus on the long term outcome of fetal abnormalities detected pre-natally by modern imaging technologies, exploiting Scotlands unique strength in electronic medical records. You will develop this programme principally through collaborative research at an international standard in one of the Universitys Interdisciplinary Research Centres. The post will involve a balance of research, teaching, and clinical duties.
The role is grade AMN3 and attracts an annual salary of £37,252 – £50,220 for 20 hours each week. You must be eligible to hold an honorary consultant contract with NHS Lothian.
