Job Description : Test and Built-In-Self-Test of CMOS-Based Biosensor Chips

At the Chair of Sensor Systems within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at TU Berlin semiconductor and CMOS-based sensors are developed for biomedical purposes. This is done together with academic and industrial partners from material sciences, bio physics, bio chemistry, and medicine within the framework of Europe-wide interdisciplinary cooperative projects.

Research Assistant with Teaching Responsibility

reference number: WM-43, salary: BAT IIa

The related responsibilities are to support teaching and research activities and/or to support the on-going setup of the laboratories.

The related research topics are focussing on the development of methods for test and yield evaluation of CMOS-based biosensor chips, in particular also on development of application oriented built-in-self-test structures and strategies. The opportunity to work towards a PhD degree is supported.

All openings are full-time positions for maximally five years. Part of these openings may also be assigned as postdoc positions.

Applicants must have a diploma or a master’s degree from a university in electrical engineering or in a similar discipline with excellent grades. Moreover, a basic background in analog circuit design, CMOS processing, CMOS device physics, and electrical metrology is required to successfully approach the research topics.
