Research Assistant
The George Washington University Medical Center’s Department of Health Policy is seeking a Research Assistant to work with the D.C. Project on (1) research regarding Medicaid, publicly financed insurance, and other health policy issues; (2) drafting policy analysis, policies, procedures, and memorandum; and (3) various administrative needs.
Working closely with senior researchers and staff, the Research Assistant will:
Gather and organize relevant data related to the D.C. Medicaid and Alliance programs
Research, gather and organize information related to various D.C. health policy issues
Attend meetings with senior researchers and produce meeting reports as needed
Provide general research and project support assistance as needed
Provide administrative support
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree.
An interest in health policy generally and medical underservice specifically is essential. The successful candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, research skills qualitative analysis, familiarity with Microsoft Office desktop software, and Internet resources.
Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work as a team member, yet be a self-starter.
