As you can notice or guess with my e-mail address, my Name is MUKEMBANYI FATAKI MARIUS PACIFIC. I’m presently working as a United Nations Volunteer (referred to as UNV) under Germany-Bonn Contract (unvolunteers.org / My Rooster # is 333453). I’m working as Radio Technician in the “CITS” (Communication and Information Technology Section) with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur- SUDAN, the biggest African country in terms of size. This Hybrid Peacekeeping Mission is known as United Nations African Union Mission In Darfur or UNAMID, unamid.org or unamid.unmissions.org). Actually I’m working in the United Nations System since January 2002, first in my Country with MONUC Engineering Section and later on from March 2003 till my coming here in Darfur, as Radio Technician in CITS with VHF-HF and Trunking System called “TETRA” from SIMOCO/ SEPURA System, United Kingdom).

I’m exactly 40 old. I was born the 24th September 1968, in NYATENDE, South-KIVU, in the Democratic Republic of the CONGO. I’m Telecommunications Engineer from the Dem Rep of Congo education. I have previously studied Industrial Electricity in the East of my Country, in BUKAVU in the South of KIVU, where I successfully got in 1986 my Diploma called in French System A2 LEVEL which is Secondary School Technical Diploma (High School for US). After I studied Telecommunications at ISTA (Institut Supérieur de Techniques Appliquées) which is one of various Technical Colleges of KINSHASA/ DRCONGO and I got in 1998, My Diploma, Level A1 in French System which is actually the Equivalent of “One + Three” years of Technical Education in a College, in General Electronics/ Radio-Transmission (Telecommunications), “DIPLOME D’INGENIEUR TECHNICIEN”.

Since January 2005, I’ve decided although my Work Timetable in the Uited Nations Peacekeeping Mission in CONGO (MONUC) to complete my Education with the Second Level of The Same College, which is actually the Equivalent of Two Years Post Graduation. Up to now, due to and Stikes and various incomprehensible reasons of my Lovely Country, the DRC, we’re still waiting for final processes in order to get our Diploma, Level A1 in French System, “DIPLOME D’INGENIEUR”. Actually everything was supposed to have been done completely since December 2007, because we began in 2005 for two years…Anyway…So due to all these realities of My Country, I require either a PHD or better to redo My Degree or Postdraduate Scholarship.

I WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS SCHOLARSHIP ON YOUR BEHALF SO THAT I CAN EXPECT TO PERFORM, OR IF REQUIRED, TO REFRESH OR AGAIN TO IMPROVE, WHAT I’VE STUDIED IN MY COUNTRY, THE DRCONGO. I DON’T DENIGRATE AT ALL CONGOLESE TECHNICAL EDUCATION. HOWEVER, HONESTLY, SINCE THE WORLD IS GOING FORWARD DAY AFTER DAY IF NOT MINUTE AFTER MINUTE, AND ACCORDING TO THE HIGH LEVEL AND QUALITY OF TECHOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT WE ARE USING IN THE UNITED NATIONS SECTOR, I CAN SAY THAT CONGO REQUIRES TO BE SERIOUSLY RECYCLED OR UPDATED IN TERMS OF EDUCATION AND VARIOUS PROGRAMS IN ORDER TO BE AT LEAST ON SAME LEVEL THAN OTHER COUNTRIES EVEN SOME AFRICAN HUMBLE COUNTRIES. I THINK SINCERLY, ALTHOUGH THE BIG RESPECT I HAVE TOWARDS MY LOVELY COUNTRY, IN CONGO WE ARE VERY POOR AND VERY LATE IN TECHNOLOGY. VERY LATE! I’M SO SORRY TO BE APPARENTLY SO RUDE WITH MY OWN COUNTRY. BUT I HOPE AND I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE I WILL GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY ACCORDING TO LATEST STANDARDS ABROAD. THAT’S THE REASON WHY I WOULD LIKE TO WIN SUCH SCHOLARSHIP ALTHOUGH ALL MY PREVIOUS TECHNICAL EDUCATION BACKGROUND. I’M
READY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH ALL KINDS OF DOCUMENTS I HAVE AND WHICH ARE REQUIRED BY THE RESPONSIBLES OF THE UNIVERSITY TO ASSESS ME ABLE TO STUDY AND TO GIVE GOOD RESULT AT THE END OF THE GRANT I MAY GET.
