Research Associate,Physiological and imaging studies of sensory pathways in neonates,Department of Medicine, UK
Job Description: We are seeking a Research Associate to work on physiological and imaging studies of sensory pathways in neonates. The aim of the studies is to establish non-invasive neurophysiological and imaging markers of sensory pathways involved in pain perception. The project is led by a team of researchers from Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The project lead is Professor Praveen Anand, Centre for Neuroscience, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, and the co-supervisors are Professor David Edwards, Professor of Neonatal Medicine, and Dr Sunit Godambe, Consultant in Neonatal Medicine.
The studies will be located at Hammersmith Hospital campus in East Acton and St Mary’s Hospital campus in Paddington.
You will be responsible for recruiting study participants and collecting data. This project will involve liaising with doctors and other healthcare staff.
You should have a PhD in Neuroscience, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience with knowledge and experience of clinical research, although training will be provided to the successful applicant.
The post is available as a full-time position for one year in the first instance.
Priority consideration will be given to staff at risk of redundancy
