Applications are invited for 4 to 6 months training at China under the auspices of STAR FARMS a subsidiary of METRO Cash & Carry involved in setting up to GAP certified farms and trading platforms in collaboration with Government of Punjab.

Qualifications:
The candidates should have MSc (Hons) Agriculture, (Horticulture,Agronomy, Soil Science and Plant Pathology). Experience: 4 to 5 years practical experience of dealing with farmers and farmers groups in field of horticulture and plant protection.

Age Limit: 30 to 35 years.

Personal Attributes:

(i)Good relationship skill in coaching, counseling, development, motivation and performance management.
(ii) Good communication and negotiation skills and ability to earn respect and trust from peers, governmental bodies and customers.
(iii) Ability to quickly learn any new system/process & transfer the learning to the other colleagues down or up the line. After successful training the incumbents will be hired at market salaries by Star Farms for training of farmers on modern agriculture techniques to produce quality and product with increased yield and to make understand to farmer community about international standards of agricultural products. These positions will be well paid and purely result oriented. Situation Vacant:

1. Applications are invited on a prescribed form (obtainable form personnel section, Registrar office) for the post of Research associate at consolidated pay of Rs. 13000/- in the project entitled as “Screening of some important vegetable varieties for salt tolerance” funded by HEC. Applications should reach the office of Dr. M. Aslam Pervez, Professor/PI, Institute of Horticultural Sciences, UAF, within 7 days after the publication of this notice.
The applicants must posses M. Sc. (Hons.), Horticulture/Floriculture but preference will be given to PhD students conducting dissertation research on salt stress and induction of salt tolerance in vegetables.
2. Applications are invited on simple paper for the post for the post of Field Assistant at consolidated pay of Rs. 6000/- in the project entitled” funded by HEC. Applications should reach the office of Dr. M. Aslam Pervez, Professor/PI, Institute of Horticultural Sciences, UAF, within 7 days after the publication of this notice. The applicants should be Matric (with science) along with field assistant diploma.
3. Applications are invited on a plane paper for the post of one Research Fellow in the research project entitled “Epidemiology of Parasitic Fauna of Domestic Animals of T. T. Singh” sponsored by Endowment Fund, UAF @
Rs. 10,000 /-pm for M. Sc. (Hons.)/M.Phil. The applications should reach in the office of the Chairman, Department of Parasitology, UAF-38040, Pakistan upto 03-08-2010.
4. Applications are invited for the post of research fellow in the project entitled “Technology Transfer of value addition in floriculture to farmers” @ Rs. 13,000/- per month. The aspirants must have M.Sc./M.Phil in Chemistry CGPA 3.00 (B) with postgraduate research work on analytical chemistry.
