Appointment of Research Associate (RA)/ Post -Doctoral Fellows, Research Fellows & Technical Assistants
Applications are invited for various positions of Research Fellows/RA/Post-Doctoral Fellows/Technical Assistants at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, University of Pune.
Qualifications:
1. Research Associate and Post Doctoral Fellows: Candidate who have obtained Ph.D. Degree with quality publications in peer reviewed journals and capable of independent research can apply.
2. Research Fellows: JRF: Candidates with M.Sc(1st class) in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/LifeScience/Zoology/Microbiology/Botany/Virology/Environmental Science can apply. UGC-CSIR NET and /or GATE cleared are desired. Candidate with desired research experience of atleast 1 year with publication in journals/proceedings will be considered. SRF: candidates with 2 years research experience and /or publications in peer reviewed journals (with or without NET/GATE qualification) can apply.
3. Technical Assistants: candidates with B.Sc/M.Sc (1st class) in Microbiology/Virology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Environmental Science/Botany/Zoology can apply Experience of work on research project /laboratory work /specialized training in laboratory will be desirable.
These fellowships are up to 31st March 2009 and likely to be extended by UGC in 2nd Phase of UPE.
Fellowships will be given as per Govt. rules and regulations.
Reservation:
Research Associate (R.A.)/Post-Doctoral Fellows: 2 (1 Open) (1SC/ST/OBC)
Technical Assistant: 09 (3Open, 2 SC, 1 ST, 3 OBC).
Research Fellows (JRF/SRF): 5 (1Open, 1 SC, 1 ST, 1 DT (A), 1 OBC)

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interviews.

The Organization is mandated to carry out, promote, coordinate, ,supervise, evaluate and document Human African Trypanosomiasis and other health research activities in Tanzania, also control and monitoring all aspects of Sleeping Sickness in the country
I have an advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences and specialized in Parasitology and Medical Entomology, studied at the Muhimbili University of Health Sciences (1999 – 2001)
I have been working with NIMR since 1993 to date (an experience of 15 years now)
Through my experiences, I am sure to do better if I will be awarded a chance to pursue further studies.
