Research Grant Program at Center for Chinese Studies in Taiwan, 2019

The Center for Chinese Studies is offering Research Grant Program for foreign scholars. This program is designed for foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at foreign universities, as well as researchers at related foreign academic institutes.

The National Central Library is the national library of the Republic of China, it is located at No. 20, Zhongshan S. Rd., Zhongzheng District, Taipei City 10001, Taiwan (R.O.C.).

Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

Course Level: Grants are available to carry out research in Taiwan.

Study Subject: Grants are focused mainly on Taiwan or Chinese studies.

Scholarship Award:  

  • A direct round-trip ticket between the domicile of grant recipients and Taipei is available; monthly grants are awarded according to the following scale:
    Full Professor: NT$ 60,000; Associate Professor: NT?50,000; Assistant Professor: NT?40,000 and Doctoral Candidate: NT?40,000
  • Accidental death and disability insurance of NT$1 million and medical treatment for each accident of NT$50,000 will be provided for the tenure of the grant.

Scholarship can be taken in Taiwan

Eligibility: This program is designed for foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at foreign universities, as well as researchers at related foreign academic institutes.

Nationality: Foreign scholars are eligible to apply for Research Grant Program.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English Language Requirement: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.
