The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is inviting applications for Research Masters Scholarships. This Scholarship is offered for entry into either the Master of Design or the Master of Visual Arts research masters programmes, as delivered by the School of Art & Design.

The Auckland University of Technology is a university in New Zealand, formed on 1 January 2000 when a former technical college was granted university status.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application Deadline: June 1 and December 1
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Master of Design or the Master of Visual Arts research masters programmes.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded within the School of Art and Design.
  • Scholarship Award: The value of the scholarship is full tuition and learner services levy for the approved programme of study.
  • Number of Scholarships: The number of scholarships awarded will be determined annually.
  • Scholarship can be taken in New Zealand

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens of New Zealand are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements:
    Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
    This scholarship is offered for entry into either the Master of Design or the Master of Visual Arts research masters programmes, as delivered by the School of Art & Design.
    These scholarships are available to applicants who can provide evidence of past academic excellence and/or research.
    A high-quality research proposal and demonstration of a contribution to the overall research goals of the School. An indication of the discipline or inter-discipline practice that the research will be located in.
    The scholarship is not available to AUT academic members of staff.
  • English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Applicants will be asked to upload:

  • Academic transcripts for any study completed at a University other than AUT
  • A two-page research proposal
  • Any other supplementary documentation to support your application
