Applicants for the positions should hold a BSc (Hon or equivalent) degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, or a related subject and it is expected that the individual will undertake a PhD as an integral part of the post.

Scholarship Description: Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITN) are providing funding for 16 Research Assistant positions throughout Europe. As part of this, the Centre for Immunology and Infection at the University of York are looking to recruit three Research Assistants to investigate stromal cell – immune cell interactions. The early stage researchers will investigate the function of stromal cells in immune responses using in vivo imaging, systems biology and functional assays to determine the role of stromal cells in infection and in vaccine efficacy.
