Research Post-doctoral Position, Israel
Job Description: The European-union-funded Nanoporation project is based on international collaboration between Academy, represented by the Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology of an European University , and two Industrial Israeli companies.The project is aimed to develop new, more efficient methods of delivering chemotherapy. These will involve combining MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), focused ultrasound and potentially photonics with the delivery and activation of nano-capsules to effectively target tumors.
The researcher s tasks will focus on investigation of cell culture techniques for evaluation of ultrasound bio-chemical effects; establishing knowledge of potential for development of xenograft animal experiments for evaluation of ultrasonic Nanoporation, in-vivo testing with animal models, and other project-related research programs
Full time research position funded for 24 months, starting on November 2010 and ending on October, 2012.
After 24 months there is the option to continue working for the company..

Eligibility Criteria: PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Or 4-10 years research experience in the area of targeted drug delivery, nanotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, bioengineering, materials or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Long term employment.
