Research scholarship in Computing’Security in Virtual Machine based System’,Macquarie University,Australia

The project involves the following: Develop a policy based secure virtual machine model to specify and control access and information flow between virtual machines within a machine and between virtual machines in different physical machines, and enhanced with trusted computing. The model will need to integrate trust properties into the security decision process, and achieve fine granular cooperative authorization policies between systems in different administrative domains. It will need to specify the architecture and design of policy based trusted secure virtual machine model proposed. Then the prototype will need to be analysed for its effectiveness and evaluate the security and trust properties in specific Grid computing application scenarios.

A background in Operating Systems is essential. In particular an understanding and design of operating system primitives and interfaces and kernel would be highly desirable.
