The University of Sydney is inviting applications for Romy Waterlow Training Fellowship Trust Scholarships. Scholarships are available to undertake education and training programs at the University of Sydney, or other relevant organisations.

The Romy Waterlow Training Fellowship Trust was established in 1998 to provide scholarships to enable counsellors to undertake education and training programs at the University of Sydney or other relevant organisations.

The University of Sydney is an Australian public research university in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1850, it is Australia’s first university and is regarded as one of the world’s leading universities.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to undertake education and training programs at the University of Sydney, or other relevant organisations.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the area of HIV/AIDS.

Scholarship Award: The value of this scholarship is up to $5500 for one year only.

Scholarship can be taken in Australia

Eligibility: Scholarships are available to all undergraduate and graduate-entry students in the faculty, others that may be applicable to students undertaking an MSW(Q).

Nationality: Australian students are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.

How to Apply: Applications to be emailed or posted. In a written application of no more than two pages applicants should provide the following details:

  • A statement on:
    (a) The education and training program for which this scholarship will be used; and
    (b) How this scholarship would benefit/contribute, in your work in the HIV/AIDS or related areas, e.g. health, community work, professional practice education;
  • A Degree/Diploma in Social Welfare, Social Work or Psychology (transcripts to be provided);
  • At least two years’ experience working in HIV or a related area e.g. health, community work, professional practice education;
  • A demonstrated commitment to ongoing work in the area of HIV and related areas e.g.health, community work, professional practice education;
  • CV summary.
