Job Description:

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY:Applicants must have completed at least two years of university or college course work, or must have a secondary school education and have been employed in a recognized vocation for at least two years when the scholarship begins. All applicants must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotaryclub. Applicants must initially apply through a Rotary club located in the area of their legal or permanentresidence, or place of full-time study or employment. Persons with disabilities and members of Rotaractclubs are eligible and encouraged to apply. Scholarships are not appropriate for students seeking to
continue studies already begun at a foreign institution. Applicants must be proficient in the language of
the proposed host country. Scholarships are not available for a university in the U.S.A or Canada. The
following persons are ineligible for any Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship:
a Rotarian; an honorary Rotarian; an employee of a club, district or other Rotary entity or of Rotary
international; a spouse, lineal descendant (child or grandchild), a spouse of a lineal descendant or an

Scholarship Award of $ 26,000 U.S.

Deadline for 2011/12 Scholarship Applications
Applications approved at the local Club level must be received by the District 5580
Committee Chairperson in Thunder Bay by Friday May 28, 2010
Local Clubs are advised to conduct interviews with local applicants by May
