Scholarship Application open for Japan-IDB Scholarship Program for Fall Semester: The Inter-American Development Bank, through the Integration and Trade Sector, with funding from the Government of Japan, has established a scholarship program for students from the Bank’s borrowing member countries who wish to pursue Master’s degree in development-related fields, such as Social Sciences, Business, Public Administration or other development-related technical disciplines (except law and medicine). Scholarship recipients may attend accredited Institutions offering Master’s Programs, located in any of the member countries.
The scholarship provides benefits covering the following topics:
University Fees: The scholarship covers tuition, mandatory administrative and student fees charged by the University; the cost of medical and accident insurance obtained through the university for the student only.
There is no maximum or minimum amount for the university or tuition fees.
Subsistence: During the period of study, the student can be entitled to a subsistence allowance for himself/herself only for the period of study in the academic year. The estimate for the subsistence include the cost of housing, food, utilities, and other reasonable living expenses.
Installation Allowance: Paid at the beginning of studies (amount set by the IDB).
Book Allowance: Paid at the beginning of studies (amount set by the IDB).
Travel: The scholarship can also cover the cost of economy class air travel for the student only once for travel from the place of residence to the university and for one return trip following the end of the scholarship or any renewal thereof.
Note: The scholarship is effective as of the start of the academic year and does not cover any expenses during the summer.

I am from Bangladesh. I have been working as a full-time faculty in the Department of Architecture, State University of Bangladesh. I have completed my B.Arch degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2006. I achieved GPA 3.14 out of 4.00 and placed Fifth position among the students of my class. My B.Arch Thesis was on architectural conservation of Painam Nagar; a settlement of more than 400 years and the title of the thesis was ” ADAPTIVE RE-USE AND DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES FOR THE RVITALIZATION OF PAINAM NAGAR “. I am a member of IAB (Institute of Architects Bangladesh) Heritage Cell which has been working to preserve our architectural heritage. Now I want to complete my Postgraduate course on Heritage Conservation at your university so that I can serve my country to save our architectural heritage. There are lots of architecturally significant sites in Bangladesh and I think it is also a property of World Heritage. As a third world country student I need a full scholarship to complete my Postgraduate course.

I am Rajarajan from INDIA. Basically I am a Veterinary graduate and completed Ph.D in Animal Physiology at Indian Veterinary Research Institute. I am looking forward to pursue my Post Doctoral Fellow. Here I would like to briefly summarize my qualifications. I have work experience as a Scientist years at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) (http://www.ccmb.res.in), Hyderabad, India. There I worked in the project, which involves Somatic cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT), Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Molecular Biology and Conservation Genetics.
For my PhD degree, I did Real time PCR quantitative ex-pression of few metabolically important genes in buffalo oocytes and IVF embryos and immunoflorescence study of their protein localization. I have much experience in RNA & DNA isolation, RT-PCR, Realtime PCR, Gene cloning & Sequencing, Immunoflorescence study, Cell culture techniques and other molecular biology techniques. I have good handling and surgical skill in Lab as well as in domestic animals.
During my post graduation I had the opportunity to work in the discipline of Reproductive Physiology involving In vitro Culture of Preantral Follicles from Goat Ovaries.
I had the experience of working as Research Fellow in an Animal Biotechnology Project entitled “Cloning of Rabbit and Goat “ and “Cryopreservation of Rabbit and Goat Embryos”. I have undergone short term training courses on “Micromanipulation techniques” at Madras Veterinary College and “Ovum Pick Up” Technique at Indian Veterinary Research Institute, India. My research Articles have been published in Small Ruminant Research and Animal Reproduction Science and some are about to be published.

I am Leila Doleh, I have MSc degree of Pomology from Guilan University, Iran. I studied postharvest, my thesis was about relationship between the content of Ascorbic acid, Peroxidase and total Phenolic compounds and incidence of postharvest physiological disorders in 9 local and foreign cultivars of pears. The second objective of my research was determining the relationship between these biochemical characteristic factors of fruit especially Peroxidase activity and resistance to the disease for using as a biochemical marker in breeding program for Fire blight.
I am highly motivated to up grade my knowledge in Pomology and very interested in continuing my study and research in PhD, but financial aid is my primary concern and i am looking for a full-scholarship across. Are there opportunities to take loans or offset some of the costs by working and studying at the same time? I will pay the scholarship back to the school after completing my graduate study and finding a job so that another student may take my place….
