For the academic year 2017-2018, Government of Hong Kong is offering Scholarship for Teachers (Pursuit of Master’s Degree Programmes).
“The Scholarship for Teachers” aims to celebrate achievements of high-performing teachers and to encourage teachers’ pursuit of higher qualifications as well as to enhance their professionalism.

Course Level: Students must have enrolled in local part-time master’s degree programme.
Study Subject: The eight areas of focus are T-standard+ , T-datasetPD, T-trainß , T-surf24/7, T-craft3 , T-share, T-applause and T-bridge.
Scholarship Award: A total amount of HK$80,000 will be awarded to each awardee.
Number of Scholarships: The quota for “the Scholarship for Teachers” (2017/18) is 20.
Scholarship can be taken in Hong Kong
Eligibility: Application is open to full-time serving teachers who
- Have been serving as regular teachers in local day schools (including secondary, primary and special schools offering a formal curriculum) for at least five years; and
- Have enrolled, in the following school year (2017/18), a local part-time master’s degree programme conducted by a local higher education institution specialising in one of the following six areas: STEM4 Education, Information Technology in Education, Language Education (Chinese or English), Values Education, Catering for Learner Diversity (including Special Educational Needs, Gifted Education and Inclusive Education) and Guidance and Counselling (including Career Guidance, Counselling and Life Education)
Nationality: Hong Kong citizens are eligible to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.
How to Apply: Teachers who wish to apply for “the Scholarship for Teachers” should submit the completed application forms with the supporting documents, including a copy of offer letter of the enrolled programme from the institution, to the Education Bureau by the deadline (19 June 2017). Besides, the Recommendation Form should be completed by the Principal of the serving school. He/she should submit the form separately by the deadline.
