Scholarship available to young Malaysians for a school year in Norway 2009-2010

Young Malaysians can now apply for funding through “The Memorial Fund of May 8, 1970”, to attend a year at a Norwegian Folk High School 2009-2010.

“The Memorial Fund of May 8, 1970” is a commemorative fund established by the Norwegian National Assembly on the 25th anniversary of the Liberation of Norway, 8 May 1945.  It is a scholarship fund for young people around the world, with Malaysia being one of the countries selected for bursaries for the school year 2009-2010.

Requirements for applicants:
• Born between 1987-1991
• National of Malaysia
• Non-resident of Norway or holder of a Norwegian passport
• Complete application form with attached photograph
• Submit application within the deadline
• Be aware that applicant must return to his/her home country after the school year in Norway is over

Special consideration will be given to applications which document an active interest in social, humanitarian or cultural activities.

Closing date for applications is 1 November 2008.
