Scholarship Position for Research Assistant in Modern Power Electronics

Recruitment of Project Personnel for bi-national Israel –China research project sponsored State of Israel Ministry of Science & Technology Project.
Grant opportunity: HIT – Holon Institute of Technology, Faculty of engineering
Start: available from 01 March 2010.
Duration: till 30 November 2010.
Grant Capacity: 17000 USD for 9 months full time grant
Required Skills: MSc/ PhD in Electrical Engineering with:
1) basic knowledge in power electronics – DC-DC converters ( soft-switching, three-level converters, phase-shift control, switched-capacitor-based converters )
2) ability to realize in the laboratory electronic circuits , including their control.
3) optional – some industrial experience in switching mode power supplies

I have a Master of Science in ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM AND NETWORKS obtained from Donetsk State Technical University in 1996.After my completion of studies I worked with Tanzania Railways Cooperation as an Electrical Engineer and then promoted to be a Depot Engineer at Morogoro Complex Workshop.I was dealing with maintanance of all electrical and electronics matters in the locomotives.From 2008 I joined Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology, Iam an Assistant Lecturer in the Departiment of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.For the time being Iam looking to persue a PhD in power electronics or electrical power systems.Thank so much.
