The Embassy of Ireland offers Irish Aid IDEAS Scholarships programme for postgraduate study in business, finance and other disciplines at the UCD Michael Smurfit Business School in Dublin, Ireland. The scholarship programme is open to Vietnamese citizens resident in Vietnam who are committed to returning to Vietnam after their masters/MBA. The successful candidates of this scholarship competition will be awarded an opportunity to study at one of the world’s leading business schools and to live in one of the Europe’s most dynamic and beautiful countries. Application should be submitted till January 17, 2014.

Study Subject (s): Scholarships are provided for MBA programme and MSc Programmes in Business Analytics, Quantitative Finance, Finance, Business – Innovation through ICT, International Business, Management Consultancy, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Project Management, Strategic Management & Planning, Supply Chain Management and Strategic Management Accounting, at the Smurfit Business School of the University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland.

Eligibility: Please refer to the entry requirements for each programme and ensure that you meet them before submitting your application. In addition applicants should meet the following Scholarship entry requirements.
MBA Applicants
-Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience
-Must meet our minimum English Language requirement in a recognised English Language Test
-Must achieve a minimum score of 550 or higher in the GMAT test
MSc Applicants
-Must have a minimum of 1 years prior work experience.
-Must meet our minimum English Language requirement in a recognised English Language Test
-Must have achieved a minimum overall final grade of 7.0/10 or higher (or equivalent GPA grade) in their undergraduate degree.
The Scholarship Programme is open to Vietnamese citizens resident in Vietnam who are committed to returning to Vietnam after their masters/MBA. We particularly encourage applications from public sector, ethnic minorities, people with disability and other marginalised groups. In exceptional cases, work experience may compensate for academic experience. This scholarship programme is intended to support canditates who would otherwise be unable to access overseas postgraduate opportunities.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Vietnam can apply for the scholarships.

UCD Michael Smurfit Business School is Ireland’s leading business school and is one of less than sixty schools worldwide to be awarded all three major business school accreditations, AACSB (USA), EQUIS (Europe) and AMBA (UK). Presently, UCD Michael Smurfit Business School is ranked 64th in the world and 18th in Europe by the prestigious Financial Times ranking while our full-time MBA programme is ranked 62nd in the world’s top 100 and 20th in Europe according to the Economist Intelligence Unit. Duration of award(s): Scholarships are offered for 12 months duration for MBA or Master Programme.

What does it cover? Scholarship includes Return airfare, full tuition fees, public health insurance, a stipend to cover accommodation and subsistence costs, settling-in allowance, and book and clothing allowances (where appropriate). Scholarships are for individuals for full time study of 12 months duration for MBA or Master Programme

Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is January 17th 2014.

Note: Applications for MBA and MSc programmes will be accepted from the 7th October 2013. All applicants must have achieved the minimum score required for entry to UCD in a recognised English Language test such as TOEFL or IELTS before the final application deadline of January 17th 2014.
