ESA Foundation Offers Scholarships for Future Video Game Developers
The program assists women and minority students who plan to continue their education in fields supporting video game development, including graphic design, computer science, animation or programming, digital entertainment or software engineering. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at accredited four-year colleges and universities. The ESA Foundation plans to award 15 scholarships of $3,000 each to students for the 2008-09 academic year.

My name is Eddie I love video games! All I do every day is play video games and research video games. I am 21 years old and I want to Develope, Animate and devote my life to the video game industry! I would have already persued my dream, but I came from a broken home and cann’t afford school. I would get a student loan but I have “No Credit” Also I dont neccessarly want to get myself in debt at the of 21yrs. Im not trying to make this a sob story. Im just trying to put you in my shoes. Gaming is my life! My mom has no job and doesn’t plan on getting one! She’s on welfare and has always been on financial aid and is planning on keeping it that way! My father is abusive and hit my mom alot when I was younger, so he’s been in and out of jail my hole life. He is out right now but who knows how long for. He does not have a job and I really dont want to associate with him at all. The rest of my family judge me alot and say im not going to achieve anything in life just because my mom and dad havent. I would love to prove everybody that has ever doubted me wrong! I just dont know where to start. I do have Native American in me. I belong to the Choktah tribe and have also been in and out of foster homes. Please give me a hand and I will achieve greatness like I feel Im destin to do. im 16 years old single parent child,im enrolled student of F.S.C.my mother is a teacher.i used 2 b all alone since then im playing games.meaning which i assigne 2games,it is every thing 2 me .game is my mother ,my father ,my friend everything 2 me. i must give back some creative work 2 my parent game,cause when iused 2 b all alone,games showed concern and loved me.I want 2 study degree prog 4 Bsgd bachelor sc games design or animation.whatever my mothers salary is she divides it and runs 3 families &gives it 4 charity.she is unable 2 pay heavy fees e.g 10000$,im made 4 studing games animation.i have showed extra ordinary results in matric,being pakistani rest of countries just dont keep us in good books,but at least they should give margin 4 educated people.2nly these countries ask 4 big amount in bank.i wan 2 ask 1 question i-e except few cases one can earn money only through illegale means,than why these countries ask 4 such heavy bank balance.on the oter hand they should help & guide those who wants 2 seek light
