New Sussex scholarships for 2009 (International Relations, Security and Development)
New scholarships will be offered in conjunction with the launch of new Masters degrees at Sussex in 2009:
MA Conflict, Security and Development
MA Geopolitics and Grand Strategy
MA International Security
MA Strategic and Security Studies
MSc Security Technologies and Systems
LLM Law and International Security
- Scholarships will be offered as a reduction in tuition fees of £3,500
- Scholarships will be awarded to students who possess the highest academic ability and potential (not made on the basis of financial need)
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be applying for one of the above Masters degrees
- Commence the degree in October 2009 (awards cannot be deferred to subsequent years)
- Be classified as paying “overseas” (non-EU) tuition fees
- Students awarded one of these scholarships may not also hold a Chancellor’s International Scholarship
- Current Sussex undergraduate students are eligible to apply
- Students progressing from the Pre-Masters offered at the Sussex International Study Centre are not eligible to apply

I have been working with this Research Institution since 1993 to date as a Senior Laboratory Technologist. In 2001, I completed a two year course of Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences (specialized in Parasitology and Medical Entomology) at the Muhimbili University of health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) by then was known as Muhimbili University College of health Sciences (MUCHS)
Last year i.e 2008, I was offered a place to pursue MSc -Research/PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biology of Cancer) in the school of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Liverpool, UK.
I tried to look for scholarship/sponsorships but I didn’t get any assistance financially. This year (during this academic year 2009/2010) the Liverpool school authority has nominated me again to pursue the same course.
