Wilson Center Japan Scholar Program for Japanese Students in USA
Scholarship Provider:
 The Japan Scholar Program is made possible by the generosity of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
Eligible Students: This competition is open to current citizens or legal permanent residents of Japan.
Course: This is a one year residential scholarship at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
Award Details: This is a residential scholarship. Scholars will be provided a monthly stipend, plus partial help with transportation and health insurance expenses, and office or library carrel space available 24 hours a day.

Israeli Government Scholarships for Japanese Students

Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Japanese Students to Study Abroad
Scholarship Provider
: The scholarship is funded by the government of Japan and administered by the IMF’s Institute for Capacity Development (ICD) with assistance from the Institute of International Education (IIE).
Eligible Students: To be eligible, an applicant must be a Japanese citizen and able to obtain a Ph.D. by age 34.

ITTO Fellowship Programme for Japanese Students

Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program for Japanese Students in Asia and USA

Eligible Students: Asia Foundation Development Fellows must have a demonstrable record of high achievement, and must show evidence of outstanding potential for professional advancement, and significant impact in their chosen field.
Course: It is a year long fellowship program involving intensive learning modules – short courses, conferences and study tours in Asia and the USA.
Award Details: All program expenses are covered, including costs for coursework and programming, airfares and local transportation, lodging and meals, visa fees, and health and accident insurance.

Asian Women in Business Scholarship (AWIB) Fund for Japanese Students
Scholarship Provider:
  The Asian Women in Business (AWIB)
Eligible Students: Enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year undergraduate institution in the U.S. at the time of application and award.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate degree (this scholarship is for currently enrolled undergraduates who have completed at least one semester).
Award Details: Each scholarship will be $2,500. An additional $2,500 may be given to scholarship recipients who demonstrate financial need, if we have available funds.

Watanabe Trust Scholarships for Japanese Students
Scholarship Provider:
 The Watanabe Trust Fund, University of Iceland
Eligible Students: Eligible applicants are undergraduate students (BSc, BA or B.Ed.) and graduate students (MSc, MA, M.Ed. PhD or Postdocs).
Course: Scholarship is available for students to carry out a part of their undergraduate or graduate studies in Iceland or Japan. The fund also supports scholars and university teachers for visits related to their research work or research collaboration with the University of Iceland.
Award Details: The awarded grant will be in the form of monthly allowances for living expenses. This will be 200.000 ISK per month for a Japanese student in Iceland and 150.000 JPY per month for an Icelandic student in Japan.
