Centre of African Studies Visiting Research Fellowship
The Centre of African Studies at the University of Cambridge is offering two visiting research fellowships for the year 2016-2017.  These fellowships awarded in all the disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Each award is worth up to £14,000, out of which travel, college accommodation, maintenance costs and medical insurance will be paid by the Centre on behalf of the fellow. The maximum duration of a fellowship is six months and is non-renewable. The application deadline is January 15, 2017.

LSE Middle East Centre Emirates Master’s Scholarship
The London School of Economics and Political Science is offering master’s scholarship for students from Arab states for the academic year 2016/17. Applicants must intend to focus their studies on the Middle East. Scholarship is awarded to undertake one year full-time Master’s programme (taught or research). The scholarship has a value of £30,000 which will cover full tuition fees with the remainder available to support living expenses in London. The application deadline is 29th April.

Lord Walston Scholarship for African Students
University of East Anglia is awarding Lord Walston Scholarship for African students. Scholarship is awarded to undertake MA Agriculture and Rural Development, the MSc Environment and International Development or the MSc Climate Change and International Development programme. The Scholarship covers full fees and maintenance (living expenses). The application deadline is March 31, 2017.

Desmond Tutu Masters Scholarship at University of Edinburgh
University of Edinburgh is inviting applications for Desmond Tutu Masters Scholarship for Africans. The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Africa who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master’s programme of study within the School of Divinity. The scholarship will cover the full overseas tuition fee and a maintenance allowance of £5,000. The award will be tenable for one academic year. The application deadline is 1st April 2016.

Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships

The Leakey Foundation is inviting applications for Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships. These fellowships are intended for scholars and students of a developing country who wish to obtain an advanced degree from an institution outside the student’s home country. It is limited to two years of support. The maximum award is limited to $15,000 per year. The application deadline is February 15 2016.

Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship
This early career development fellowship program provides early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals from countries with developing economies. Up to five individuals are selected each year for participation in this intensive four-week Fellowship Program based at OCLC’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA. Fellows visit selected libraries and cultural heritage institutions, meet with leading information professionals and observe OCLC’s governance structure in action. The application deadline is February 12, 2016.

Ferguson Scholarships for African Students
Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable trust is offering scholarships for African students. Scholarships are available for pursuing full time MA degree in the field of African Studies, International Studies and Diplomacy and Social Anthropology of Development at SOAS, University of London. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. The application will be available from 28 January 2016.

Scholarships for University Graduates at College of Europe
The College of Europe offers a large number of scholarships to university graduates coming from European Neighbourhood Policy countries for postgraduate studies at the College of Europe during the academic year 2016-2017. These scholarships cover academic expenses, accommodation, meals and travel costs. The application deadline is 20th January, 2016.

TWAS-USM Fellowships for Libyans
TWAS-Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is offering for fellowships for visiting researchers. Fellowships are open for scientists from Libya who wish to pursue advanced research in natural sciences. Fellowships are tenable for a minimum period of one month to a maximum of three months at a school/department of the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). USM will provide a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living costs, such as accommodation and food. The application deadline is 15 September.

TWAS-COMSTECH Joint Research Grants for Libyans
TWAS-COMSTECH Joint Research Grants are available for young individual scientists to undertake research project in OIC Countries. The programme provides support for research projects in the following fields of science and technology: earth sciences, engineering sciences, information technology and computer sciences, materials science including nanotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences and renewable energy. The closing date for application is 31 August.

TWAS Research Grants Programme for Libyans
Applications are invited for TWAS research grants available for a period of 18 months. Grants are awarded to high-level promising research projects in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics carried out by research consortia in the 81 S&T-lagging countries identified by TWAS. Applications from women scientists and those working in Least Developed Countries are especially encouraged. Research Grants to research consortia amount to a maximum of USD20,000. The deadline for receiving applications is 31 August.

MS International Federation McDonald Fellowships for Libyans
MS International Federation is awarding a number of McDonald Fellowships for Libyans. Fellowships enable the recipient to travel to an established research institution to work with leading researchers in MS with a view to returning to their own country to establish a programme of MS research. The fellowship consists of a two-year grant, around UK £30,000 per year, to cover travel and living costs, and an additional contribution of UK £2,000 per year to the host institution. The deadline for nominations is 30 June.

3ie Scholarship for Libyan Students
University of East Anglia is inviting applications for 3ie scholarship. One 3ie scholarship is available for applicants from less developed countries who apply for a place on the Msc Impact Evaluation for International Development. The Scholarship covers £10,000 of the course tuition fee and one return economy flight. The application deadline is 30 May.

Japan Foundation for UNU PhD Scholarships for Libyans
Applications are invited for UNU scholarships for Libyans to undertake PhD program in Sustainability Science. A limited number of PhD scholarships (covering tuition fees and living costs) for a maximum of 36 months are awarded for outstanding applicants who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance. The last date to apply is 30 April.

2015 Japan Foundation for UNU (JFUNU) Scholarship Programme, Japan
United Nations University is offering sustainability scholarship for Libyan students to undertake MSc programme. The JFUNU scholarship provides a monthly allowance of 150,000 JPY for living expenses for a maximum of 24 months. The tuition fees are fully waived for the scholarship recipients. During admission selection process, outstanding applicants with financial need will be automatically considered as candidates for the award of the JFUNU scholarship. Thus, no separate application is necessary. The application deadline is 27 February.

Masters Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine
Wellcome Trust is inviting application for master fellowships for Libyans to undertake research training at Master’s degree level. Master’s degrees by distance learning can be supported. Fellows must be based in a low- or middle-income country for their research project. A Fellowship normally provides up to 30 months’ support. The application deadline is 2 March.

International Scholarship Scheme 
Scholarships for Libyans are available for pursuing a full-time course at Southampton Solent University. Southampton Solent University is offering a limited number of scholarships. Scholarship Award of £1,000 towards tuition fee payment for first year of study will be awarded. Applications will close on 31 July.

Intermediate Fellowships for Developing Countries
Wellcome Trust is offering research fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Research should be aimed at understanding and improving public health and tropical medicine of local, national and global relevance. Fellows must be based primarily in a low- and middle-income country. The fellowships are awarded for up to five years and provide a basic salary which will be based on the pay scales of the employing institution or allowances and cover research expenses, training costs. Preliminary application deadline is 29 April 2015 and full application deadline is 8 July.

MBA Scholarships for Libyans
University of Glasgow is offering MBA scholarships for Libyans commencing in September. The value of each scholarship is £5,000. The criteria for the scholarships are academic excellence and personal achievement. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission. The application deadline is 1 July.

Africa Postgraduate Scholarships for Libyans
Scholarships for Libyans are available for pursuing postgraduate degree level at Nottingham Trent University in UK. Each scholarship is to the value of £6,000. Scholarships are offered for duration of the program. Last date of submitting applications is 30th June.

Middle East and North Africa Scholarships
Scholarships for Libyans are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree at UWE Bristol University. 3 excellence scholarships will be awarded. One scholarship will be awarded to cover 100% of tuition fees and two scholarships will be awarded to 50% of tuition fees. The application deadline is 31 May.

International Achievement Scholarships at Sheffield Hallam University
Applicants from Libya are eligible to apply for an International Achievement Scholarship which will be presented during the first semester of the taught course. Scholarship applications should be sent following an offer for a taught course at Sheffield Hallam University. Application should be sent by post or email by 1st May.

Ferguson Scholarships for Libyans
Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable trust is offering scholarships for Libyans. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree at the first class level. The application deadline is 20 March

Full or Partial Scholarships for Libyans
Scholarships for Libyans are available for senior students, graduates and young professionals. Scholarships will be awarded for a seven days TI School course in the field of anti-corruption and accountability. Full scholarships cover transportation, tuition and accommodation expenses. Application for a scholarship deadline for non-EU residents is 1 May 2015 and for EU residents is 15 May 2015.

Masters Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine

Wellcome Trust International Engagement Awards
Wellcome Trust is offering awards for research applicants. Applicants must be or collaborating with a researcher, research group or institution to provide expertise in the area of biomedical science students are exploring.  The scholarships will provide up to £30,000 for three years. Applications should be submitted till 18th April.

Dag Hammarskjöld Journalism Fellowships
The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund is offering journalism fellowships to radio, television, print and web journalists. The fellowships will begin in early September and extend to late November and will include the cost of travel and accommodations in New York, as well as a per diem allowance. Application should be submitted till March 31.

CAS-TWAS President’s Postgraduate Fellowship Programme
Applications are invited for CAS-TWAS President’s Postgraduate Fellowship Programme from the citizens of developing countries other than China. Applicants must be maximum age of 35 years on 31 December 2014. Up to 140 students will be awarded per year. The funding duration of the fellowship is 4 years. The application deadline is 28th March.

LSE Middle East Centre Emirates Masters Scholarships for Libyans
Scholarships for Libyans are available for pursuing master degree at LSE. The scholarships have a value of £30,000 which will cover the full tuition fees with the remainder available to support living costs in London. Three masters’ scholarships will be offered each year. The application deadline is 28th April.

JIRCAS Visiting Research Fellowship Program 
Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) is offering visiting research fellowship program for qualified researchers from research institutes/universities in developing countries. The fellowship covers a period of one year starting from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. The application deadline is April 21.

POGO Fellowships for On-Board Training
Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans (POGO) is offering a special visiting fellowship for on-board training on an Atlantic Meridional Transect (AMT) Cruise. Fellowship will be awarded for a period of two months (12th August to 28th November). The deadline for applications for the 2014 fellowship is 16th April.

International Academic Excellence Awards
The School of Engineering of University of Glasgow is offering academic excellence awards for international students. Six academic excellence awards will be awarded. The value of each award is £2,000. Applications will be assessed on academic merit. Application should be submitted till 31 March.

BOF Doctoral Scholarships, 2014
University of Ghent is offering doctoral scholarships in Belgium. Scholarships are awarded to PhD students from developing countries who wish to carry out their PhD research at Ghent University. Half of the PhD research is carried out in the university and half in a developing country (home country). For the remaining part of PhD Research student must prove that they will be financed at their home country. The scholarship is offered for 24 months and will be divided into several periods within a span of 4 years. Application should be submitted till March 4.

Mathematics Research Fellowships for Developing Countries in Italy
The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) is offering a small number of Mathematics Research Fellowships for mathematicians from developing countries to pursue their own research using the ICTP facilities and interacting with other mathematicians. Visiting fellows must have a PhD in mathematics prior to the start of their Fellowship. Fellowships are awarded for short visits to ICTP (typically between 1 to 3 months). The deadline for applications is 15th January.

International Students House Residential Scholarships for Developing Countries
Applications are invited for residential scholarships in London for the January 2014 intake. Students should be from a developing or emerging country and intending to return on completion of their studies. Preference will be given to postgraduate students who are studying a course that will provide skills to assist in the development of their home country. Applications should be submitted till December 31st.

Study of the United States Institutes for Secondary School Educators
The Institute for Secondary School Educators is providing two multinational groups of 30 experienced and highly-motivated secondary school educators (teachers, teacher trainers, textbook writers etc.) with a deeper understanding of U.S. society and culture, past and present. The Institute is open for Libyan citizens who are mid-career professionals in either public or private sector. Application deadline is 31st December.

Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program in Libya
The U.S. Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and AMIDEAST are pleased to announce this year’s recruitment for the Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program. The program is for high school seniors in the Middle East and North Africa who are from underserved backgrounds. The program will provide four-year university scholarships and internship opportunities at selected institutions of higher learning in the Middle East. The application deadline is 31st December.
