Scholarships in University of Cumbria, UK: Cumbria Scholarship is an award worth £1,000 per year which you may apply for if you are a 1st year undergraduate student, are being charged the new variable fee, and can demonstrate significant achievement or potential in sport, community or the creative arts.

Q - Who is eligible?
A - Any UK student commencing Year 1 of a course which charges £3,145 for fees (but not PGCE or NHS funded courses)
Q - What are the eligibility criteria?
A - Meet one qualifying criteria:
* Low household income (less than £25,000)
* Have a disability
* Come from an area where participation in HE is low (can check this on our website)
* Have left Local Authority care or foster care prior to applying for course
* Be first generation in their household to go to university
Then they need to be undertaking activities in one of the following areas:
Sport
Playing/coaching/sports administration/elite performer
Examples: semi-professional rugby player; U18 fell running champion; football coach; netball coach.
Community
Voluntary work in the community (unpaid)
Examples: guide leader and volunteer at local special needs activity group; principle volunteer for the Youth Service involved in various projects
Creative Arts
Involvement, achievement, excellence in art/music/drama
Examples: producing scenary, set and costumes for drama and musical productions; working with local youth group organising arts activities.
