The Institute of Experimental Internal Medicine offers positions as
Science Manager
(E13 TV-L)
for a post-doc scientist in the field of Cell Biology. The scientist will be responsible for the science management in a research institute and contribute depending on experience to e.g. patent- and grant applications, development of innovative research strategies, writing of scientific reviews, lab management, fund raising, public relations.
The research program of the institute encompasses scientific projects on the pathophysiology of inflammation and tumour biology (e.g. NF-kB regulation in inflammation, differentiation and cell cycle control). Here, the molecular and cell biological mechanisms of the intracellular signal transmission are of special interest. In addition, the research groups work on the question of protein function in cellular networks and the innovative approach of mathematical models of signal processes in complex systems. The offered project comprises work in the understanding of cellular signaling networks (e.g. NF-kB system) relevant for diseases. The institute allows an internationally competitive research by providing state of the art technologies in microscopy, Surface-Plasmon-Resonance and mass spectrometry.
