Scientific Co-worker Graduate or Postdoc
The department of Nutrition and Metabolism at the Dr. von Hauner Childrens´ Hospital of Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (Prof. Dr. Berthold Koletzko) invites applications for the position of a
Scientific Co-worker (graduate or post doc level)
The major field of activity will be an European Union funded project aiming to investigate the long term health consequences of perinatal nutrition (www.metabolic-programming.org). This integrated project (FP 6) is co-ordinated by the department and includes long term follow up of clinical studies, epidemiological research, basic science (cell culture and animal models) and socioeconomic research. There is the possibility of own research, but the major task will be the co-ordination of the activities of further participating institutions (project management, reporting, content management). The position provides the opportunity to work in a diversified and international environment.
Required qualifications include university degree preferably in a relevant area (e.g. public health, nutritional science) and experience in the area of project management. Excellent organizational and communication skills combined with a high degree of self motivation and team orientation are required.
The contract will be limited to one year, a further extension can be expected. This position is also suitable for doctoral studies (Dr. hum. biol.).
