Research Associate in Computational and Bioinformatic Approaches in Plants, UK

Job Description: The successful candidate will establish research projects involving computational and bioinformatic approaches in plants. There is a particular interest in developing methods for analysis of large databases of siRNAs and miRNAs in Arabidopsis, Chlamydomonas, tomato and other plants, and for modelling the behaviour of small RNA systems and their effect on gene silencing at the RNA and DNA level.

The post-holder will also be expected to supervise Postdoctoral Research Associates funded by various grants working on computational aspects of RNA silencing. They will also be expected to apply jointly with Professor Baulcombe and other members of Plant Sciences for external funding to support additional related projects.
