Job Description:You will participate in the work aiming at improving the aeroelastic analysis basis for design of the state of the art turbines, problem solving and new concept developments. The main body of the work is aero-servo-elastic and hydrodynamic analysis to solve problems, evaluate design changes and new concepts, using the in-house numerical tools and further development of dedicated models. You will be a part of an existing group, and will be involved in the ongoing development of our in-house aeroelastic analysis tools. Your immediate focus will be on applications for floating turbines, mooring systems and combined wind and wave energy plants.

You will participate in a number of national and international research projects and contribute to the management and generation of new projects. There are also good opportunities for developing innovative ideas in the direction of commercial products.

The work includes industrial consultancy from small commercial projects to more strategic collaborations, and in general the focus is on improvement of the design basis for development and optimization of wind turbines.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent within a relevant research field as well as academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding a position as Researcher or Postdoc.

In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to:
* scientific production and research potential at international level
* innovative skills and the ability to generate new ideas
* the ability to communicate at all levels such as the provision of scientific advice to public sector authorities
* the ability to promote and utilize research results
* an all-round experience basis, preferably including international experience
* the ability to contribute to development of the department’s internal and external cooperation

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The place of work will be Risø DTU in Roskilde. A position as a Senior Researcher is not a limited position.
