Senior Researcher/Researcher in Transport Economies, Denmark
Technical University of Denmark Transport seeks one or more Senior Researchers / Researchers for the Transport Economics group.
Job description: The basis for the research of the transport economics group is the application of economic principles to understand behaviour in transport systems and to analyse and evaluate consequences of political decisions within transport. The research is based on the principles of efficiency and distribution among population groups as well as geographically. Decision processes and implementation of decisions within transport is also part of the group’s research.
Besides research the group contributes to public sector consultancy of the Danish Ministry of Transport. In resent years the group has contributed to modelling of car ownership and use of alternative fuels as well as other measures for reducing CO2 emission from transport, improving the methodology for socioeconomic evaluations, effects of congestion charging, relations between infrastructure and labour market and many other projects. The group includes 13 researchers (Associate professors to Ph.D. students). The group cooperates both with the other research groups at DTU Transport and with Economics departments at other universities.

Usually, each researcher covers 1 or 2 areas.
