Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is offering scholarships for students to study undergraduate degree programs at SLIIT, Sri Lanka. It offers 07 merit based scholarships covering the full degree duration for the September 2015 intake. The duration of the scholarship shall be three (03) years in case of a three year degree programme and four (04) years in case of a special Honours degree programme of SLIIT. Selection of candidates from among the nominees will be based on merit.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided to students intending to study any of the degrees at SLIIT University in the fields of Information Technology, Engineering and Business Management.

( votes)Eligibility: Eligibility for a SLIIT scholarship shall be determined on the basis of:
-The performance at the G.C.E Advanced Level Examination (London or equivalent) namely passing three subjects in the specified stream at one and the same sitting or acquiring eligibility to gain admission to a Bachelor`s Degree programme of the nominated discipline in a University in the home country.
-The official nomination by the home country.
Note: In the case of non-availability of G.C.E. Advance Level Examination a certified letter from the Education Authority of the relevant country is requested upon the minimum qualification acquired by claiming that the student is eligible to enter a state university of that particular country.
Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is offering scholarships for students to study for undergraduate degree programs at SLIIT, Sri Lanka. Scholarships are awarded to one recipient from each of the SAARC countries depending on the proficiency of their academic credentials.
Number of award(s): 7 merit based scholarships covering the full degree duration are awarded for the September 2015 intake.
Duration of award(s): The duration of the scholarship shall be three (03) years in case of a three year degree programme and four (04) years in case of a special Honours degree programme of SLIIT. The scholar will be required to maintain academic good standing during the study programme. The annual renewal or termination of the scholarship will depend on maintaining a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as deemed satisfactory by the SLIIT management.
What does it cover? The value of a 04 year SLIIT SAARC Scholarships will be in the range of US$ 15,000/= in the Information Technology Degree programmes, US$ 14,000/= in the Business Administration Degree Programmes and US$ 16,000/= in the Engineering Degree Programmes.
Selection Criteria: Selection of candidates from among the nominees will be based on merit.
Notification: On being selected for the award of a scholarship the student will be notified about the selection by SLIIT.
