The School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS) is offering a postgraduate research scholarship for a new Home (UK or EU) student for September 2015 entry. Scholarship is available for pursuing full-time or part-time postgraduate research  programme in all areas of sociology, politics or international studies at the University of Bristol. Scholarship covers tuition fee and a maintenance stipend of the RCUK minimum per annum for 3 years. The applicant deadline is 19th June 2015.

Eligibility:
-New Home UK/EU applicants who have been made an unconditional offer on a SPAIS PhD programme. The position will be for full-time or part-time study.
-Applicants are expected to hold a 1st Class Honours Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree (UK or UK equivalent) in a relevant discipline. For those whose first language is not English, a minimum language proficiency score of IELTS 6.5 (Profile E) is required.

The School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies, created in August 2010, has currently over 50 members of staff and provides an interdisciplinary scholarly environment producing leading research which is international in its focus and relevant to the changing circumstances of our increasingly interconnected world. We are committed to rigorous conceptual and empirical research that is politically and socially relevant and problem oriented. We aim to advance theory, knowledge and methods at the interface between the disciplines of sociology, politics and international studies.
