Senior Research Fellowship in Division of Genetics,Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi

Job Description: Walk-in -interview for the SRF position.
Name of the P.I . and project:Dr. J. Kumar Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-12.
“Evaluating candidate genes towards enhancement of drought tolerance in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)”

Name of the post:Senior Research Fellow
Qualifications:
Essential:
M.Sc. in Biotechnology / M.Sc in molecular biology / M.Sc. (Ag) in Biotechnology from a recognized university/M. Sc (Life Sciences/Bio-chemistry)
Desirable:
1. Hands on experience and working knowledge in molecular biology work
2. Working knowledge of computers will be preferable
Date of interview: 25th August, 2010, Room no. 101 Pulse Research Laboratory, Genetics Division, IARI at 10AM.
2. Age: Maximum 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women and
three years for OBC)
3. The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for
a initial period of one year or till termination of the project/scheme
whichever is earlier. There is no provision for the re –engagement after
termination of the project/scheme.
4. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment(s) at this institute
as the posts are co-terminus with respective project/ scheme
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview
6. Please bring all attested copies and originals of all certificates from Matric onwards.
