Sweden Chalmers University of Technology PhD Position

The Chalmers University of Technology is proud to offer the PhD positions for students in Sweden. The PhD project is financed by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and there is great freedom in selecting the area for research within the scope outlined above. This will most probably be within Modulation/Coding, Iterative Methods (Turbo), Multiple Access Methods and also Network Coding.

Eligibility

PhD student positions are limited to five years and normally include 20 per cent departmental work, mostly teaching duties. Salary (monthly) for the position is as specified in Chalmers’ general agreement for PhD student positions.
The scientific area is of theoretical nature and the concept of Trellis Codes is central in TCT. The applicant shall have at least a Master of Science degree with an emphasis on Telecommunication Theory and/or Computer Science. Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics is also central.
