Swire Educational Trust offers four fully funded scholarships at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford in UK. Scholarship is available for graduate students demonstrating exceptional academic merit and/or potential who will commence study on a course offered by St Antony’s College in 2013-14. The graduate scholarship is awarded to students from Japan or China and Hong Kong. The scholarships selection criteria are academic merit, although financial need may be taken into account. Eligibility: -The scholarships are open to applicants who are permanent residents of Japan or China (for the Swire Centenary & Cathay Pacific awards) or Hong Kong (for the Swire/Cathay Pacific awards) who have completed the majority of their formal education in Japan (for Japanese permanent residents), China (for Chinese permanent residents) or Hong Kong (for Hong Kong permanent residents).
-The scholarships will be awarded primarily on academic merit, although financial need may be taken into account. -Scholars must intend to return to Japan (for Japanese permanent residents), China (for Chinese permanent residents) or Hong Kong (for Hong Kong permanent residents) after completing their course of study.
-Preference will be given to applicants who plan to pursue a career in government, business, academia or a recognized profession.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students who are permanent residents of Japan or China or Hong Kong can apply for this scholarship.

Four fully funded scholarships are available to graduate students demonstrating exceptional academic merit and/or potential who will commence study on a course offered by St Antony’s College in 2013-14.

Number of awards offered: Four fully funded scholarships are available to graduate students.

Duration of award(s): The award is made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course.

What does it cover? 100% of university and college fees, and a grant for living costs (the rate was £14,100 in 2012-13). Economy airfares to and from London are provided at the beginning and end of the scholarship. The award is made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course. If your scholarship is offered for a course lasting more than one year, the continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual renewal process based upon satisfactory academic progress.

Notification: Following a meeting of the Swire selection committee at St Antony’s College, all nominations are reviewed by the Swire Educational Trust. We expect to be able to email successful candidates by the end of April or in early May 2013.
