Telfer School of Management EMBA Scholarship 2008

At this morning’s Technology Executive Breakfast, OCRI announced that nominations for the 2008 University of Ottawa EMBA Scholarship at the Telfer School of Management are being accepted until May 9. The single scholarship is valued at over $59,500 for the University’s Executive MBA Program. The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by committee and presented in June 2008 to a candidate that is currently pursuing a career within Ottawa’s knowledge-based industries.

The scholarship includes:

*
tuition over a 20-month period from August 2008 to April 2010;
*
all required books, materials and course binders, access to LAN, Internet and University of Ottawa library databases;
*
three field components: Orientation Retreat, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Consulting Trip to Silicon Valley, International Consulting Trip;
*
access to University of Ottawa facilities which includes seven fully equipped case rooms available to you 7 days per week, 24 hours per day;
*
video-recording of classes and tutorial sessions;
*
nutritious meals and snacks served on class days;
*
indoor parking provided during scheduled class days;
*
free access to office equipment such as printers, fax, scanner, and photocopiers;
*
all benefits of a full-time student at the University of Ottawa, including fitness facilities, recreational sports, supplemental language training and university library services; and
*
opportunities to attend a variety of business networking events, seminars and other related functions.

Prerequisites for scholarship applicants include:

*
current employment at an OCRI member company;
*
an undergraduate degree, minimum 70% average; and
*
at least five years work experience.

The OCRI / University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management Executive MBA scholarship is made possible as a result of the generous financial contributions provided by OCRI’s Partners in Prosperity. These include The Ottawa Citizen, Telecom Ottawa, Spectra FX, Ramius Corporation and Workshift.com. Applications for the scholarship will be accepted until May 9, 2008.
