The Dominic Marrocco Chair in Entrepreneurship,Bournemouth University,UK
The Business School at BU enjoys unprecedented levels of growth and is increasing its international reputation as a provider of thought leadership and contemporary business education. Under the leadership of Professor Thomas Lange, the transformation of the Business School has been rapid, including a strongly-developing academic research culture, which keeps the School’s activities relevant.
Benefiting from a substantial donation from Harvard graduate and serial entrepreneur Dominic Marrocco, the Business School is now seeking an internationally-recognised scholar of distinction, who will serve as Dominic Marrocco Chair in Entrepreneurship and lead the Dominic Marrocco Centre for Entrepreneurship.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a unique academic scholar and will require effective academic and professional leadership. A key priority will be the development of excellent research and scholarship in the Entrepreneurship arena. The successful candidate will also work with aspiring entrepreneurs and design an innovative curriculum in support of a major commercial initiative to assist student businesses.
As part of the generous Dominic Marrocco endowment, the successful candidate will be able to appoint a post-doctoral research fellow in Entrepreneurship. There will also be opportunities to work closely with the benefactor, Domomic Marrocco on the development of case study materials and other research endeavours.
In addition to possessing a strong international publications profile, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop an innovative curriculum in Entrepreneurship education. In the spirit of the Business School’s philosophy, the successful candidate must also embrace a culture of continuous improvement and student centred pedagogy.
