The Science and Engineering Apprentice Program (SEAP)
The Science and Engineering Apprentice Program (SEAP) provides an opportunity for students to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer.
The goals of SEAP are to encourage participating students to pursue science and engineering careers, to further their education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and their participation in research, and to make them aware of DoN Research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN.
SEAP provides competitive research internships to approximately 250 high school students each year. Participating students spend eight weeks during the summer doing research at approximately 15 DoN laboratories.

I am a male Malawian qualified Mechanical Fitter/Technician who has undergone apprenticeship training at Carlsberg Malawi Brewery Ltd for three years from Lilongwe Technical College from January 1999 up to December 2001. And also working with the same Company for four years, from January 2002 up to February 2006 as a Production & Maintenance Technician. And from 1 March 2006 up to date I am an employee of Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM ) working as Mechanical & Electrical Fitter.
I have Technician Certificate and also Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from City and Guilds of London so I want to pursue my studies for me to get Degree or even Masters in Engineering.
