RESEARCH

2006-Current On a collaborative Project with Tanzanians called: “Characterization of undesirable substances in the ruminant food chain in the Lake Victoria Basin on the basis of biophysical and anthropogenic factors”. My role is that of a soil scientist.
2004-2005: Involved in a research project looking at rehabilitation of acidic soils in western Kenya.
1997: Involved in a research project funded by the Rockefeller Foundation evaluating utilization of phosphate fertilizer for improved maize production and food security amongst smallholder farmer communities in western Kenya.
1995 -1996: Evaluated chick pea varieties for ICRISAT at Egerton University.
1994: Co-ordinator, International Crops Research Institute for the Semi- Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) at Egerton University in the Sorghum/Fingermillet Project evaluating the adaptation of highland materials for cold tolerance.
