Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowships for Women from Developing Countries in USA, 2014/15
International Peace Research Association Foundation offers graduate fellowships for women in the USA. These Fellowships are provided in the field of Peace and Development Studies. Every other year (beginning in 1990) one woman receives school expenses in the amount of $5,000 per year for two years. This is for the first time the foundation is providing two fellowships. Announcement of the Award will be made by March. The application deadline is January 15, 2014.
Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Researchers from Developing Countries in Germany, 2014/15
The Humboldt Foundation is funding up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships. These fellowships are provided for postdoctoral researchers and experienced researchers annually and financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Co-financed by the European Union (EU) in the 7th Framework Programme. Applications can be submitted from 01.07.2013 until mid-2015 (exact date TBD).
Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Postdoctoral Fellowships for Developing Countries, 2014
International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) of the Open University, UK is funding postdoctoral fellowships at the ICGEB laboratories located in Trieste and Monterotondo (Italy), New Delhi (India) and Cape Town (South Africa). Complete applications from nationals of ICGEB Member States must be sent to the ICGEB Liaison Officer in the applicant’s country of origin, for endorsement till 31 March, 2014. Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) for Developing Countries in Germany, 2014
The Humboldt Foundation grants up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers. Fellowships are available for periods of 6-24 months. The Scholarship amount per month is 2.650 €. This includes a mobility allowance and a contribution towards health and liability insurance. Applications are accepted from 01.07.2013 until mid 2015.
IDRC Doctoral Research Awards for Turkey Developing Countries in Canada, 2014
IDRC offers research awards for students Canada and developing countries’ for pursuing doctoral studies at a Canadian University. Approximately 20 to 25 awards are offered per competition. Candidates must be citizen or permanent resident of Canada, or a citizen of a developing country. Last date of application is April 2, 2014.
South–North PhD Sandwich Scholarships for Developing Countries at University of Hohenheim in Germany, 2014
University of Hohenheim is inviting applications for PhD students from developing countries. Applicants will study issues related to research on food security. The successful candidates can select from the regular course catalogues of the international MSc and PhD study programs offered by the University of Hohenheim. Turkey Masters Scholarships at University of Nottingham in UK, 2014
Nottingham University is funding five Master scholarships for students from Turkey in the UK. Scholarships are offered to cover up 25% of the tuition fees. Those applicants can apply who are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes and already have or expect to receive a final CGPA of no less than 3.5/70%. The application deadline is 23rd May 2014.
2014 TWAS-IROST Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries in Iran
TWAS-IROST is offering postdoctoral fellowship program in the area of natural sciences at the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST). Fellowships are provided to pursue postdoctoral research in applied agriculture, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer science engineering, advanced material and renewable energies, industrial chemistry and space sciences. The call for applications is open from 12th March until 15th September of each year.
INSA JRD-Tata Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries in India, 2014
Indian National Science Academy is inviting applications for fellowship program for developing countries. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at premier research institutions in India. About 10 fellowships are awarded annually for the maximum period of three months. The deadline of applications is 31st October each year.
ICO Three-Month Fellowships in Ophthalmology for Developing Countries, 2013/14
The International Council of Ophthalmology is funding fellowships in ophthalmology. There are approximately 60 fellowships. The fellowships will include S$6000 (maximum) to cover travel and living expenses. The study subjects are: General Ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Uveitis, Glaucoma, Cornea & External Diseases, (no Refractive Surgery), Medical Retina, Vitreo-Retinal Surgery, Oculoplastics, Cataract Surgery, Ocular Oncology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Ocular Pathology and Community Eye Health. The application deadline is March 31 each year.
