The University of Bristol is offering UK Marie Sklodowska-Curie (MSCA) Individual Fellowship for the year 2017. These fellowships are available to pursue PhD programme for EU as well as Non-EU applicants.

The aim of these Fellowships is to enhance competencies and creative potential of the best researchers, whether European or non-European, willing to work in the EU.

The University of Bristol (abbreviated as Bris. in post-nominal letters, sometimes referred to as Bristol University) is a red brick research university located in Bristol, United Kingdom. Bristol is organised into six academic faculties composed of multiple schools and departments running over 200 undergraduate courses largely situated in the Tyndalls Park area of the city.

Course Level: These fellowships are available to pursue PhD programme.

Study Subject: These fellowships are open to all research and innovation areas. The participation of third parties within projects is encouraged, e.g. SMEs, NGOs, Charities, museums, archives etc.

Scholarship Award: These fellowships will be awarded Living Allowance: €55,800 (€67,127 including coefficient) Mobility allowance: €600/mth + €500/mth family allowance if relevant Management/Indirects: €650 per month Expenses: €800 per month.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for fellowship:

MSCA funds projects using fixed ‘unit costs’ for the researcher and the institution. These ‘unit costs’ are flat-rate EU contributions to support the researcher, research costs and institutional costs during the project.

Nationality: EU and Non-EU applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English Language Requirements: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English the candidate should have a very good command over English language.

International Fellowship

How to Apply: The student fills out and sends the application form to/via post or by e-mail. The application must include:

  • Potential applicant identifies a mentor and makes contact.
  • Potential candidates submit a draft application and CV to appropriate School Research Directors – see below).
  • DHR will review draft with a potential mentor to assess intellectual fit with Department.
  • DHR advises the applicant, Research Development Managers (RDMs) and Bristol EU Team of decision.
  • EU team to review applications as they develop, at least one month prior to final deadline
  • Applications submitted to funder shortly before funder deadline of 14/09/2017.
