The USHLI has developed into one of the most powerful, nationally and internationally recognized Latino organizations in the country.

Originally established in 1982 as the Midwest Voter Registration Education Project, the organization became USHLI in December 1996. USHLI is dedicated to empowering Latinos and similarly disenfranchised groups by promoting, civic engagement, education, and leadership development

Eligibility

Applicants who reside in the United States must meet one of the following requirements:

• Have been granted asylum along with the approved
