Universia Foundation is offering three doctoral scholarships for PhD students with disabilities. Scholarship amounting to 5000 per year will be awarded for a maximum duration of 3 years. To be eligible, students should provide a documented proof of a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% by certificate issued by the competent authority attesting to the status of doctoral candidate for being admitted and registered in a doctoral program officer of a Spanish university accordance with the requirements of Royal Decree. The closing date for applications is 30 October, 2014.

Scholarship Description: The Scholarship Program encourages the pursuit of a PhD degree for people with disabilities, helping to make the principle of equal opportunities through inclusive education. By awarding grants to university doctoral disabled is intended to support your progress in your training activity within the university increased, thus, opportunities for achieving quality employment in teaching and research. The doctoral degree represents the highest level in higher education, accredits the highest academic rank and authorizes teaching and research, according to the legislation.

Duration of award(s): The maximum duration for this scholarship is 3 years. The first year the scholarship awarded to the signing of the document of acceptance thereof by the beneficiary or the beneficiary is paid. To qualify for renewal must submit a report justifying the end of each annuity with the report of the activities and the fulfillment of the objectives set for this period. This memory must be reviewed and signed by the tutor and supervisor.
What does it cover? Universia Foundation awarded three grants, with a maximum duration of 3 years and amounting to 5000 per year.
Selection Criteria: The selection and evaluation of requests made through a committee appointed for the purpose by Universia Foundation, which will be published in the minutes of resolution. The commission will consider awarding scholarships and evaluate among others the following criteria:
-The Plan or Research Thesis Project.
-The proven disability, type and grade.
-Accessibility and availability of support for inclusion in the environment where the research project is to develop.
-Assessment of the need for assistance with university activity.
-The special circumstances which can occur.
Notification: The resolution of the scholarships will take place before December 1, 2014. The name of the three recipients will be announced through the website of the Foundation. Applicants who are beneficiaries of the scholarships will also be informed by email.
How to Apply: Doctoral students wishing to apply for the scholarship must submit documentation electronically by completing the online form and attach additional documentation in one rar or zip archive.
