University of London Scholarships for LLM Programme in UK, 2018

University of London LLM Scholarships for the students of Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe. These scholarships are available to study for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and/or the master of Laws (LLM) by distance learning, at the University of London.

Canon Collins Educational & Legal Assistance Trust through its postgraduate and research fund distance learning project grants and international events programme, its unique approach cultivates a space where activism and research meet.

If applicants are non-native English speaking students they must provide evidence of their English language ability. The following tests are accepted for entry into degree-level courses: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic); Pearson Test of English (PTE) (Academic); Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE); Cambridge Proficiency (CPE); TOEFL iBT (internet based) and Trinity ISE.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application deadline:  January 12, 2018
  • Course Level:  Scholarships are available to study for the postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma and/or the master of Laws (LLM) by distance learning, at the University of London.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of law.
  • Scholarship Award: These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the University of London, who will waiver full tuition and examination entry fees for four scholarship recipients. Local examination fees are not included. Scholarship recipients have between 1 to 5 years to complete the programmes, and continued registration on the course is dependent upon satisfactory progress and academic reports. Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants for this scholarship must be a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe
  • Entrance Requirements: Applicants for this scholarship must be:
    • A national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe
    • Normally resident in one of these countries
    • In possession of the necessary qualifications required for admission to the programme;
    • Currently employed in full or part-time work;
    • Able to commit a minimum of 10 hours to study per week.
