  • A.G. Whitlam Graduate Merit Scholarship – 50% fee remission (8 Awards)

Eligibility:

Nationality: University of Melbourne Scholarships are open to domestic and international students.

  • A.G. Whitlam Graduate Merit Scholarship: 1) Be made an unconditional offer for a Masters by coursework and 2) Accept your place in the Masters by coursework in the year it is offered
  • A.G. Whitlam International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship: 1) be a citizen from one of the designated countries (Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam), 2) have completed an approved Year 12 program or equivalent in a country other than Australia that meets the eligibility requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce, 3) preference will be given to applicants who complete their studies in one of the designated counties, 4) be made an unconditional offer for the Bachelor of Commerce, and 5) accept a place in the Bachelor of Commerce in the year it is offered
  • Bachelor of Commerce Global Scholarship: 1) be an international student, 2) have completed an approved Year 12 program or equivalent that meets the eligibility requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce, 3) achieve a minimum ATAR of 90 (or equivalent) and fulfil the subject prerequisites, 4) be a citizen from a country deemed to be under-represented in the Bachelor of Commerce, 5) be made an unconditional offer for the Bachelor of Commerce, and 6) accept a place in the Bachelor of Commerce in the year it is offered
  • Commerce Undergraduate International Merit Scholarships: be an international student and apply to commence the Bachelor of Commerce
  • Global Graduate Merit Scholarship: Be an international student who applies to a coursework program at Melbourne Business School and have a strong academic ability
  • Graduate Research Scholarships: have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne
  • Honours Accounting Students’ Society Alumni Scholarship: 1) be a female student and currently completing the final year of the Bachelor of Commerce, 2) be commencing the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in the Department of Accounting in the next academic year, 3) be undertaking ACCT40006 Honours Research Essay subject in the next academic year
  • International Graduate Merit Scholarships: be an international student and apply to a coursework program within the Faculty of Business and Economics
  • International Undergraduate Partner Scholarships: To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to have attended one of the following international partner institutions: 1) Trinity College Foundation Studies, Australia, 2) Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, 3) Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia, 4) HELP University, Malaysia, 5) Taylor’s College, Malaysia, 6) Sunway College, Malaysia, 7) Markham College, Peru, 8) Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, 9) Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, 10) Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore, 11) Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore
  • Melbourne Chancellors Scholarship (International Students): 1) be a citizen of a country other than Australia, 2) have completed Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia, 3) have applied for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course via VTAC for commencement in the year following completion of Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate, 4) not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a Year 12 program).
  • Melbourne Graduate Scholarships: 1) be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia, 2) have applied for an eligible graduate coursework degree, 3) be commencing study at the University of Melbourne for the first time, 4) not be in receipt of any other tuition fee remission scholarship or sponsorship which, in combination with the Melbourne Graduate Scholarship, exceeds 100% of tuition fees, 5) not have received any other scholarship provided by the Australian Government in the last 2 years
  • MBS Social Enterprise Scholarship for APSIC: Completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline and Be employed at an Australian social enterprise
  • Paul Wheelton Scholarship: 1) Be an Indonesian citizen: Preference is given to those from Bali, and Preference given to female applicants, 2) Be in financial need and/or have experienced another form of disadvantage, 3) Be intending to undertake the Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne in Semester 2, 2018 or Semester 1 or 2, 2019
  • Robin D Hocking Scholarship: be intending to undertake the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Economics or the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics or a student who will enter the final year of the Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Economics, and be a resident member of Ormond College (candidates do not need to be a resident at the time of application)

How to Apply:

Some scholarships do not require an application – all eligible students in a particular course or courses will be automatically considered. Others are application-based, and you will only be considered if you have submitted an application.

Application-based scholarships generally start with an online application, but the application process varies from scholarship to scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

  • English Language Requirement: Applicants must have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honours degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first-class honours.
  • The University of Melbourne TOEFL Institution Code is 0974. Please use this code so that your results can be reported to us. Some faculties may accept graduate students with a slightly lower IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English or CAE score.
